What can I even say about this book? I adore it. Even though it isn't Cassandra Clare's best work it's still amazing. The characters are beautifully written, they have their own voices and their personalities are so defined you have no trouble picturing them in your mind. Tessa is an interesting character, thrown into the Shadow World without real knowledge of what was happening and going through the hardships she endured through books is amazing and Clare did a great job making a relatable protagonist. Will Herondale, what can I say about him. He is sarcastic and quite frankly, horrible at times but it is merely a defense mechanism which I hope is broken through his story. Jem is so sweet and patient. A perfect parabatai for Will. Regarding the whole story it was quite interesting and at times unexpected. A great read that makes you empathize with its characters. I adore it.
